Curriculum Vitae

After completing my studies at the Medical School of the University of Ioannina, I began my professional career with my service as a Rural Doctor at the Lygourio Health Center, following a three-month training at the General Hospital of Nafplio.

Soon after, I started my specialization in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at Evangelisches Krankenhaus Castrop-Rauxel, an academic hospital of the University of Duisburg/Essen in Germany.

During my training in Internal Medicine, I gained valuable experience in managing gastroenterological, cardiological, pulmonary, and endocrinological diseases, while also being trained in patient care in the Intensive Care Unit.

After obtaining the specialty title in Internal Medicine and specializing in arterial hypertension (DHL, German Hypertension Society), I worked as an Attending Physician and continued my training in Gastroenterology at Marien Hospital Gelsenkirchen, where I specialized in Gastrointestinal Oncology.

Later, as an Attending Physician in Gastroenterology at tertiary care hospitals Evangelisches Klinikum Niederrhein in Duisburg and Heilig Geist in Cologne, I gained experience in emergency diagnostic and interventional endoscopies of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, the biliary system, as well as in managing complex pancreatic, liver, and biliary disorders.

Additionally, I received Level I Certification from DEGUM (German Society of Ultrasound in Medicine) in abdominal ultrasound after recognizing my long-term training and experience. I also hold specializations in Gastrointestinal Nutrition (DAEM) and the Management of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (DGVS CED).

After many years of training and professional experience abroad, I decided to return to my homeland in 2024 and establish a modern gastroenterological – endoscopic private practice.

My goal is to provide high-quality medical services in a fully equipped facility, following the latest technological and scientific developments.
